Ober Boys High School has a rich history spanning 75 years, originating as Bware Local Native Council (LNC) in 1949. The school underwent several transformations, becoming Bware DEB in 1959, and later an Intermediate school with an upper primary school. The same year, it changed its name to OBER DEB. In 1977, the Secondary School was established as a mixed school with Mr Philip Owili as the pioneer Principal.
